The Story behind
Based on the design of the Isola di Primavera scarf
Fruit ripens and flowers bloom in the spring sunshine. Nestled among the branches, birds sing to the breeze while the waves gently lap the shore. Matthieu Cosse beautifully brings a poetic landscape to life, combining contemporary design with vivid watercolor depictions. We can immerse ourselves into this Italian daydream, set to the sound of the sea and rustling palm trees and pines or at the Parisian boutique on Rue de Sevres where a large fresco entitled “L’Odyssee d’Hermes” unfurls around the walls.
カレ《春の島》より
春の日差しを浴びて果実はたわわに実り、樹々はこぼれんばかりの花を咲かせています。
若葉の布団の上で巣作りをする鳥たちの歌はそよ風に乗り、川の流れは岸辺を優しくなでながら緩やかな曲線を描き大地を潤してゆきます。
ー現代アートの絵画のようでもあり、大自然をありのままに写しとった水彩画のようでもあるカレ。
マシュー・コセが私たちに見せる詩的な風景は、水のせせらぎと椰子や傘松のざわめきに包まれるイタリアの夢。
コセが描く夢のつづきは、パリのセーヴル通りにあるエルメスで見ることができます。
ホメロスの叙事詩に着想を得た大きなフレスコ画「エルメスのオデッセイ」は、2021年の年間テーマにちなみ製作されました。
